Celebrating Food! Celebrating Life!

A new look…

Changed the color scheme of the blog after collating some suggestions and criticisms from fellow friends and bloggers. I loved the old color scheme with black as the backdrop but then again, the contrast with the words seemed a bit too jarring. Begins to play tricks with the eyes making it laborious to read. Changed it to something much lighter with black as font color. Let me know if this is better now. And as always, comments, suggestions and criticisms about the layout, content and photos are welcomed and much appreciated! Let me know how to make it more enjoyable for you!

Thanks everyone in advance for your comments and unfailing support!!

I am so grateful that you changed it!
It was so hard for me to see.

I know it isn’t as dramatic, but I love your blog and was so sad some days when I had to pass it up.

    Thank you.

    Have a Joyful Day

  2. Alan, I used to have a black background and love it. Need to forego to give it some “fresh” air after 6 long years. hehehe

Ah yes Edith, it was hard to let it go but alas I must! A black background was precisely what I had in mind when the blog was conceptualised but as I start to get carried away with the writing, it became progressively more of a pain when I had proofread the review just before the posts get published. Hope the decision to change the color scheme is a right one.

  3. Alan,
Sometimes, it’s a matter of personal preference and readability. I found your black background to be very classy, and the photos really stand out. However, in terms of readability, it’s pretty hard to read. The current white background makes it easy to read, and it’s very clean. I like both actually. However, in long term and to keep the eyes sane, this is a more refreshing look. Just my opinion. 🙂

Jane, yeah vision was indeed affected from trying to make out the words sometimes. Looks like this format is here to stay… for a while. Until a better way is found to circumvent the problem.
