Hi! Do you happen to have a recipe for Kueh Chara? I’ve been looking for them for a long time but I can’t find them in sg anymore :/

Hi, I am wondering if you have any idea about this supposedly nonya chicken dish which my late mum referred to as Coriander chicken rendang. I’ve been looking for it for ages but can’t seem to find it. I can only remember it uses lots of fried shallots, garlic and freshly ground coriander powder. Hope you can help.

    • Hi, could it be ayam sioh?

No. It is more ‘lemak’ taste than compared to ayam sioh. I think it’s due to the fried shallots, fried garlic. Guess I’ll have to test out the dish from memory & find that taste again. Thank you for your reply.
